I picked up a Kel-Tec SUB-2000 back in July and I've really enjoyed shooting it. It's accurate, reliable, low-recoil, and easy to clean. Because it folds in half, the SUB-2000 is easy to store in a discreet location.

It may be the perfect self-defense rifle for an apartment-dweller.
